We are looking for:

Byron Shire Council is currently seeking an Administration Officer in the Public & Environmental Services team. This role is a great opportunity to provide efficient and effective administration services as part of the Public & Environmental Services team, and that those dealing with the directorate are treated professionally and courteously.

About you:

  • Certificate of Attainment in Business Administration or equivalent, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • Demonstrated well-developed organisation skills and ability to plan and prioritise multiple projects while consistently meeting agreed timeframes.
  • Demonstrated well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to provide excellent customer service and deliver quality service outcomes as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy, with experience in the MS Office suite of software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher and PowerPoint)

We offer:

  • A permanent, part time contract (49 hours per fortnight: 3 days (21 hours) one week, and then 4 days (28 hours) the following week)

  • Salary and Conditions will be in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award with an appointment at a salary in the range of $1,068.29 to $1,237.77 per 35 hour week (pro-rated for part-time roles and dependent upon skills and experience)

Location:

This position is based at Mullumbimby, in Byron Shire Council, however Council can require you to work from other work sites as required for operational reasons.
