Alan Lyons Family Soils at Guelph Graduate Scholarship in Canada

The University of Guelph is funding an amazing opportunity through its “Alan Lyons Family Soils at Guelph Graduate Scholarship” at the School of Environmental Sciences or Department of Plant Agriculture for the academic session 2023-2024.

The scholarship aims to support exceptional domestic and international students who are interested in pursuing a Master’s or Doctoral degree program and plan to conduct research in sustainable soil management, specifically in the area of cover crops in the School of Environmental Sciences and Department of Plant Agriculture at the University of Guelph. The scholarship will provide financial assistance to either two MSc students, each receiving $10,000 payable over 3 semesters, or one Doctoral student receiving $20,000 payable over 9 semesters.

Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: Canadian-PR-PP and Non-Canadian-PR-PP students can apply.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship is available for Master’s or Doctoral students who plan to undertake research in sustainable soil management (e.g., cover crops) and have demonstrated experience in this area.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
  • Applicants must be registered as full-time students at the University of Guelph and be entering in the winter, summer, or fall of the award year (i.e., students would be in semesters 1, 2, or 3 at the time the award will be distributed)
