Arena Attendant at City of Woodstock

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following minimum qualifications:

  • minimum Grade 10 education,
  • standard First Aid, CPR/AED or the ability to obtain in a timely manner upon hire
  • must be in good physical health,
  • be able to work with minimum supervision.

Duties:

1) ensure hockey nets are in place for various rentals,

2) sweeping and mopping the facility,

3) cleaning dressing rooms, offices, washrooms, and general public areas,

4) empty and collect garbage cans and recyclable containers,

5) ensure dressing room policy is maintained,

6) responsible for reporting accidents, by-law infractions and any unsafe conditions to Full-time staff on duty,

7) assist in set up and tear down functions in Goff Hall,

8) ensure all fire exits are clear of snow and any other obstructions,

9) assist and direct organizers of tournaments and members of the public,

10) other duties as assigned.

Salary rate is $16.55 per hour as per Schedule “A” of the collective agreement. Hours of work as scheduled by the Arena Supervisor not to exceed forty-eight (48) hours in a two week period in accordance with the C.U.P.E., Local 1146 – Inside & Part-time Unit collective agreement.
