CHIEF BRAND AND MARKETING OFFICER (CBMO) at Edge Executive Search

JOB SUMMARY: My Client plans to become the leading diversified organisation in Africa through a world class transport and utility infrastructure portfolio that has a pan-African presence. They are positioning themselves to be the market leader in trade, transport logistics, tactical, risk and operational security, infrastructure asset management, manufacturing, energy utility portfolio as well as the establishment of strong partnerships with Private Sector Participants with a long-term focus on large scale infrastructure development in Africa with operations and maintenance practices benchmarked to global standards.

My Client is in search of a suitably qualified and experienced individual to assume the above-mentioned role within their organisation. The successful incumbent will serve an integral part to ensure the protection and enhancement of Group’s image and reputation in the market by the effective positioning of communication regarding all key issues in all media platforms. They will lead and guide the enhancement of internal and external communication to the Group’s various stakeholders, lead the Group’s brand and corporate identity implementation and communications initiatives to drive and grow the brand ensuring brand unity within the organisation. They will also lead and drive the Group’s marketing strategy and programmes; build, maintain and manage relationships with key stakeholders including Government and communities using different stakeholder engagement platforms and lead / drive the Group’s Corporate Social Investment (CSI) strategy through which the Group undertakes community Investment programmes in the primary areas of its operations. Role outputs will include:

CRITERIA / REQUIREMENTS

  • A relevant Bachelor’s Degree
  • A minimum of 5- 10 years’ experience in corporate communications, media relations and brand management in a large organisation with a complex operations environment
  • Must be a seasoned professional with deep insight and understanding of strategic communication and stakeholder relations management
  • Knowledge of corporate social investment management is required
  • Requirement of trust and honesty in the handling of finances as per the National Credit Act Amendment 19
  • Driver’s license code 08
  • Local and international travel as required by the business
