About The Role

ASRC Cleaning is an ASRC social enterprise that provides professional commercial and domestic cleaning services throughout the Melbourne metropolitan area.

This role is an exciting opportunity for people who are looking to gain local work experience in a role where they can expand their technical work skills, employability and enjoy flexible casual work.

The successful candidates will join a positive, passionate, diverse and dedicated team. In addition, the ASRC Cleaning Team Leaders play a significant role in supporting and developing its team members by providing regular training in using specific machinery and cleaning techniques as well as important safety requirements.

About You

The successful candidates will be highly motivated, reliable, adaptable members of the team players with the ability to work independently. The following skills and experience are also essential to be successful in this position:

  • Lived experience of seeking asylum or refugee status
  • Excellent work ethic such as pride in work, attention to detail, reliability, good presentation and punctuality.
  • Good communication skills with the willingness to progress english language skills
  • Confidence to work independently in a number of different locations as well as the ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to provide good customer service to ASRC Cleaning clients
  • Understanding of the necessary use of OHS procedures
  • Access to a smartphone is necessary (to check emails frequently, use Google Maps and PTV)
