Job Summary

A Brief Overview

This position performs a variety of support for locations or departments such as monitoring venue or operations conditions, opening/closing procedures, scheduling, attendance tracking, emergency procedures implementation and coordination, recording of daily sales or donations, and issuing tax receipts. This position performs clerical duties such as preparing correspondence, scheduling appointments, meetings, and booking rooms. This position also performs various bookkeeping and accounting activities including preparing invoices, reconciling, and reimbursements.

Job Description
What you will do Performs a variety of support for locations or departments such as monitoring venue conditions, opening/closing procedures, subscriber lists, fobs, attendance tracking, emergency procedures implementation and coordination, recording of daily sales or donations, or issuing tax receipts.

    Provides administrative support for events including summarizing post-event evaluations. Performs clerical duties such as preparing correspondence, scheduling appointments, meetings, and booking rooms. Organizes the provision of office supplies, computers, equipment, and furnishings for the office, ensuring sufficient inventory to meet ongoing needs. Maintains filing systems for cheques, agreements and related correspondence. Performs bookkeeping and accounting activities including preparing invoices, reconciling, and reimbursements.

  • Assists in compiling information for the preparation of the annual budget and budget forecasts.

Required Education

  • Two-Year Community College Diploma.

Required Experience

  • More than 1 year and up to and including 2 years of experience.

Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Bring forward problems, obstacles or challenges to work completion in a timely manners so deadlines continue to be met.
  • Break down concrete issues into parts and selects best solution from clear alternatives and past practices.
  • Acknowledge and respect diverse cultural traditions and beliefs.
  • Question attitudes, comments and behaviours which are discriminatory and seeks out appropriate resources to remove these from the workplace.
