Core Responsibilities:
- Loading and offloading material, plant, and equipment by hand or with the assistance of tools, ramps, pools, cranes or ropes to transport from one place to another.
- Responsible to adhere to nosa safety requirements to minimize any injury to workers or damage to plant, material and equipment by following all safety instructions related to the use of equipment when loading and off-loading in the road, travelling on a vehicle, workshop safety requirements, method of using your own body to pick up heavy loads (straight back etc.)
- Any other labour-intensive work in and around the workshop, yard or on site related to the construction and maintenance of municipal buildings to complete the assignment at hand by using own body strength, tools or equipment to do the job. Ensure that equipment is in safe operating condition.
- Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform
Note: The posts as advertised are under the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) and for a period limited up to June 2024

- Grade 10 or equivalent
- South African Citizens
- Resident of City of Ekurhuleni
- Being able to read and write.
- Being physically and mentally fit to carry out the work
