As our Medical Manager MIDI, you will contribute and support the roll out of the medical strategy across MIDI and support colleagues with the implementation of regional/local activities (ROPU, MIDI is a Regional Operating Unit, consisting of 8 mid-sized European countries; Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Norway, Portugal, Sweden and The Netherlands).
This role is based in our office in Amsterdam, in the new EDGE Amsterdam West, a building with a modern and very sustainable architecture. You will report directly to the Medical Affairs Team Leader MIDI CRM (Cardio Renal Metabolic).
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as an internal medical and scientific expert for product and disease-related content for all relevant MIDI functions (incl. Marketing, Market Access, Medicine Operations, Regulatory Affairs).
- Lead and manage regional (digital) medical and scientific activities.
- Build and maintain a network with scientific and clinical experts and other healthcare professionals.
- Coach Medical Managers in the countries to efficiently manage and prioritize their local activities.
- Lead internal therapeutic area and product training and drive content of internal on-boarding materials.
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TEAM
- Strong business acumen and strategic mindset and you enjoy cross-functional collaboration.
- Previous experience in Medical Affairs as medical manager or medical advisor in the Cardio Renal Metabolic (CRM) field.
- Previous experience in cardiology is a plus.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- Outstanding presentation and communication skills to share scientific content and context to multiple audiences – both orally and in writing.
- Excellent project management skills, results oriented, innovative, proactive.
- Ability to identify innovations that can transform customer experience and a demonstrated willingness and ability to adopt new technologies.
- Team-player with experience working in diverse teams.
- Lastly, Medical doctor or Master’s degree in Medicine, Pharmacology or related life science.
