As our Medical Manager MIDI, you will contribute and support the roll out of the medical strategy across MIDI and support colleagues with the implementation of regional/local activities (ROPU, MIDI is a Regional Operating Unit, consisting of 8 mid-sized European countries; Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Norway, Portugal, Sweden and The Netherlands).

 

This role is based in our office in Amsterdam, in the new EDGE Amsterdam West, a building with a modern and very sustainable architecture. You will report directly to the Medical Affairs Team Leader MIDI CRM (Cardio Renal Metabolic).

 

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as an internal medical and scientific expert for product and disease-related content for all relevant MIDI functions (incl. Marketing, Market Access, Medicine Operations, Regulatory Affairs).
  • Lead and manage regional (digital) medical and scientific activities.
  • Build and maintain a network with scientific and clinical experts and other healthcare professionals.
  • Coach Medical Managers in the countries to efficiently manage and prioritize their local activities.
  • Lead internal therapeutic area and product training and drive content of internal on-boarding materials.

 

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TEAM

  • Strong business acumen and strategic mindset and you enjoy cross-functional collaboration.
  • Previous experience in Medical Affairs as medical manager or medical advisor in the Cardio Renal Metabolic (CRM) field.
  • Previous experience in cardiology is a plus.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills to share scientific content and context to multiple audiences – both orally and in writing.
  • Excellent project management skills, results oriented, innovative, proactive.
  • Ability to identify innovations that can transform customer experience and a demonstrated willingness and ability to adopt new technologies.
  • Team-player with experience working in diverse teams.
  • Lastly, Medical doctor or Master’s degree in Medicine, Pharmacology or related life science.
