Job Posting: Security Officer Position, Saint John, NB
Commissionaires NB&PEI Division is looking to hire mature and responsible team members in Saint John, New Brunswick to work in government and commercial facilities.
Locations: Saint John, NB
Hours: 24/7, 8 to 12-hour shifts
Rate of Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
Benefits: Health, Vision, and Dental Benefits, Life Insurance and AD&D plans
The Role: The Security Officer is responsible to enforce established rules and regulations to ensure the protection of people, property, and information on a variety of worksites. Assigned duties include a combination of static and roving patrols.
We are seeking candidates with:
- Physical fitness to perform interior and exterior rounds (including stairs) in all types of environmental conditions – may also require standing for extended periods of time
- Strong communication and dispute resolution skills
- A positive, proactive, problem-solving approach to tasks
- Customer service experience
- Availability to work varying shift work schedules
- Valid Class 5 NB Driver’s License
The successful candidate must be able to:
- Maintain high levels of confidentiality
- Demonstrate sound judgement in addressing conflict situations
- Respond to emergency situations
The ability to communicate in both official languages (French and English) and Designated Veteran Status are both assets but are not requirements.
