Position Summary…
Core Analytics team in Walmart Canada is looking for a Senior Data Analyst who is skilled in scaling volumes of data and identifying trends and anomalies, one who is proficient in data tools to analyze, model, solution and develop dashboards to tell compelling data stories and facilitate data driven decision making for Business leaders. A person who is passionate about data and is willing to continuously learn, improve and grow, a good team player, communicative, goal oriented and adapts quickly.
What you’ll do…
Responsibilities:
- Gather : Conduct Stakeholder discussions to understand business requirements and problems, document and affirm understanding.
- Investigate : Research best in market solutions to leverage/ get inspired by and or develop hybrid approaches to conduct root cause analysis, perform quick data analysis to validate hypotheses and confirm understanding with stakeholders.
- Communicate : Collect, analyze, and synthesize complete information from different sources into a clear and compelling story. Develop Tableau/ Looker/ PowerBI/ Excel dashboards to present analysis results and or help business track key performance measures every day.
- How can I achieve them? Leverage data lake tables to build automated daily/weekly Tableau dashboards. Update and enhance existing reports to meet the growing needs of the stakeholders. Work with Product, IT and BI teams to understand data sources to leverage for reporting and collaborate to prepare project definition, design, and planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology, Master of Engineering or Technology or equivalent education
- 4 plus years of experience in Data Analytics
- Tableau, PowerBI, Looker or GCP certifications
